Precinct placemaking pop-up
SHARE

A pop-up event held in December provided frontline health workers across the campus with an opportunity for respite, food, music and conversation through all hours of their shift.

Hosted outside Prince of Wales Hospital’s Barker Street entrance, hundreds of clinicians and hospital support staff took part in the ‘Twenty Four Hour Tea Break’ – a precinct-first initiative supported by Transport for NSW as part of the Safer Cities Program.

This partnership is enabling the precinct team to reshape, co-design and create more inviting spaces that bring communities together and support women, girls and gender diverse people to feel safer, during the day and night.

The initiative provided a space for discussion, consultation and co-design with commissioned artist Lauren Brincat to inform a future project in April – stay tuned!
