Integrated Acute Services Building Community and Consumer Advisory Committee

The Randwick Campus Redevelopment Community and Consumer Advisory Committee is the primary body representing the interests of health care consumers and community members for the project.

The purpose of the Community and Consumer Advisory Committee is to ensure that a clear and diverse consumer and community voice and perspective is heard in the planning process. Our members are diverse: they cover individuals and collective bodies with different conditions, needs and issues across the health system.

The Community and Consumer Advisory Committee has partnered in the design of health facilities and care systems within the new Acute Services Building to ensure person-centred compassionate care is delivered and that the wellbeing of the patient, carer and their family is at the heart of every decision made.

Consumer Input

There is something very special and meaningful about allowing those who have experienced a particular service within the hospital an opportunity to share their story and have a say in enhancing the service for future patients, their families and carers.

Our Community and Consumer Advisory Committee has provided input across aspects of the redevelopment such as:

  • Emergency Department
  • Intensive Care Unit
  • Haematology and Oncology
  • Neurosciences
  • Spinal Unit
  • Wayfinding
  • Respiratory and Infectious Diseases
  • Aged Care and Surgical Units.
