Security.PNGThe Randwick Campus Security Services team is currently planning their future move into a newly refurbished, larger space with new technology.

The former Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) on Level 0 of the Dickinson Building will soon undergo major refurbishments to provide a fit-for-purpose base for Security Services.

The Security Services team operate 24/7 and have the challenging and undeniably important task of ensuring patients and staff are kept safe, as well as protecting Randwick Campus assets and responding to emergency situations, incidents and alarms.

Having the right technology with access to large CCTV monitors is critical to their work. Members of the Security Services team have recently established a Detailed Design Project User Group, where they meet with the redevelopment project managers and builders to ensure each room in their new department is carefully planned and designed in order to meet their complex needs.

Jo McNeil, Manager for Randwick Campus Security, said the new space will make a significant difference to the way the Security Services team (pictured) carry out their work.

My team plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, secure and well-functioning environment, so having a purpose-built Security Control Room will enhance and improve our services across the entire campus.

The Prince of Wales Hospital on-call accommodation rooms, which will be co-located with Security Services, are also undergoing detailed design.
